Quotations for grade 4 wheat with a protein content of 12,5% ​​in deep-water ports increased by 300 rubles during the week and reached 13500-14000 rubles per ton. Prices exceeded the level of the 2023/2022 season (23 per ton) for the first time since September 13200, said the analytical center Rusagrotrans from Interfax.

As analysts noted, with low water levels, wheat prices remained at last year's level and amounted to 12000-12200 rubles per ton.

Export demand prices for wheat from Russia for May delivery increased by $1,5 to $211-212 per tonne FOB. At the same time, the price of French wheat fell by $1 to $218 per ton, while American wheat fell the most - by $9 to $216 per ton. The price of German wheat remained at $231 per ton.

The domestic wheat market also recorded gains last week. In the center, the price of 4th grade wheat increased by 550 Br, that is, to 10.000-10.500 Br per ton excluding VAT. In the Volga region, quotations increased by 300 rubles and reached 9.800-10.300 rubles per ton excluding VAT.

Previously, Rusagrotrans has already reported on the increase in wheat prices in the ports. Analysts expect April exports to amount to 4,6 million tons, slightly higher than April 2023 (4,55 million tons).
