Istanbul

On May 10th and 11th, meetings will be held in Istanbul to extend the "Grain Agreement".

Bilateral and multilateral meetings with Ukraine, Russia and the United Nations will be held in Istanbul on May 10-11, 2023. This is reported by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The question of extending the «Corn Agreement», the deadline of which expires on May 18, will be submitted to negotiations.

"We are discussing the development of a detailed and safe evacuation plan for the return of our merchant ships and their crews stuck in Ukrainian ports because of the conflict conditions," the statement said.

Recall that during the negotiations on Friday, May 5, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations did not reach an agreement on new ships that Grains can export. Ankara is working to extend the deal, which expires on May 18. The May 5 meeting was technical, there is a meeting of deputy ministers this week.
