In the coming season, Ukrainian farmers could harvest about 21 million tons of the main oilseeds, which is about 3% below the level of the 2023/24 marketing year (21,668 million tons). This forecast was made by analysts from the Ukroliaprom association.
According to their estimates, sunflower production will be 2024 million tonnes in the 25/12 marketing year, although 12,6 million tonnes were harvested in the previous season. The rapeseed harvest is also expected to decline by 4,8% to 4,28 million tons.
The gross soybean crop is expected to rise 4,2% to 5 million tonnes, driven by expansion of planted areas and higher profit margin compared to other grains and oilseeds.
