In the current season, Kazakhstan has significantly increased exports of rapeseed to the EU. This is reported by APK-Inform, citing data from the European Commission.

So, in the period July-February 2023/24, Kazakhstan delivered about 24 thousand tons of rapeseed to EU countries (compared to only 6,4 thousand tons in the same period last season). This means that supplies of this oilseed have increased 3,7 times.

According to the results of 8 months of the current season, Kazakhstan occupies the 6th place in the ranking of countries exporting this product to the EU. The first 5 places are occupied by Ukraine, Australia, Moldova, Serbia and Canada.

According to the European Commission, Kazakhstan imported rapeseed from Latvia (13,16 thousand tons) and France (10,82 thousand tons) during this period.
