The USDA analysts published their forecast for the worldwide in October wheat production Reduced to 2022 million tonnes in 23/781,7, compared to 783,9 million tonnes in the previous forecast, but higher than the 2021/22 result (779,7 million tonnes).
In particular, the experts have the grain harvest in Argentina reduced to 17,5 million tons compared to the September forecast to 19 million tons (22,5 million tons in the previous year and in the USA to 44,9 million tons (48,5; 44,8)). At the same time, the forecast for Brazil was raised to 9,2 (8,7; 7,7) million tonnes and for the EU to 134,7 (132,1; 138,3) million tonnes.
Experts have also lowered the forecast for global wheat exports in the current year - to 207,7 (208,4; 205,2) million tons, as the mark for Argentina to 12,5 (13,5; 17,6) million tons and the USA was reduced to 21,5 (23; 21,5) million tonnes. In return, the forecast for the EU was increased to 35 (33,5; 31,9) million tonnes and Brazil to 3,5 (3,2; 3,1) million tonnes.
The USDA experts have lowered the forecast for global grain stocks for 2022/23 to 267,5 (268,5; 276) million tons. In particular, for the USA a downward revision to 15,7 (16,6; 18,2) million tonnes was carried out.
