As APK-Inform reports, referring to the official statistics, in the 7 months of 2022/23, 283,09 thousand tons were transported to Kazakhstan Wheat delivered to the EU. This is almost 6% higher than in the same period last season (267,84 thousand tons).
The leader in sourcing Kazakh Wheat remains Italy – in the 7 months of the current season 232,81 thousand tons were exported in this direction.
In March of this year, 41,7 thousand tons of the total wheat exports (52,6 thousand tons) were sent to Italy. This exceeds the figures for the same period last year (39,6 thousand tons and 36,8 thousand tons, respectively).
In second place when it comes to purchasing Kazakh wheat is Latvia. In September-March 2022/23, Kazakhstan exported 31,9 thousand tons of this grain to this country. Interestingly, Latvia has the imports of Kazakh Wheat increased sharply in March and bought 10,8 thousand tons. In the previous months of the season, deliveries in this direction did not exceed 5,6 thousand tons.
