Polish freight forwarders continue to block three main directions of the border

Polish freight forwarders continue to block three main directions of the border. Negotiations between Ukraine and Poland have so far failed to produce any results, according to a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko.

“Negotiations with Poland have so far produced no results. Polish freight forwarders continue to block the three main directions,” – said Demchenko.

According to him, these are the checkpoints “Yagodin”, “Krakivets” and “Rava-Russkaya”. There is also a concentration of trucks near “Shehyni”.

“In fact, in the direction of the exit from Ukraine they pass one or more trucks per hour. Of course, there are queues here too, like in the past few days. Especially at the border towards the “Yagodin” checkpoint. There are about 1300 trucks, as well as 500 trucks heading towards the “Krakivets” and “Rava-Russkaya” checkpoints,” – said Demchenko.

He added that there is some concentration of trucks in front of a checkpoint.

“On the Polish side, those waiting to cross the border into Ukraine are heading towards the “Shehyni” checkpoint. And there for the morning there were about 1100 cars, which are slowly but still moving towards Ukraine,” – said the spokesman of the GNSU.

Ukrainian border guards have increased the intensity of their work in the direction of “Shehyni” due to the increase in the number of vehicles, at the same time the infrastructure of other border crossing points does not allow trucks to pass by the hundreds, Demchenko said.
