Poland will not be able to resolve the “grain conflict” with Ukraine on its own

Poland will not be able to resolve the “grain dispute” with Ukraine on its own, as this must be done at the political level within the framework of the European Union. This opinion was expressed by Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with LRT.

“Because this is really a very serious problem and it will continue to be a problem in the future. I would like to emphasize that it was Brussels that made the decision to lift restrictions on food imports from Ukraine to the EU. Unfortunately, this also has repercussions outside Ukraine, especially in Poland,” he reminded.

At the same time, Duda added that in ZusaIn connection with Ukraine's future accession to the EU, the issue of Ukrainian agricultural exports in particular must be resolved, which is in fact “a political issue and of course affects ordinary people, ordinary farmers”.

“We have to solve it, but Poland itself will not solve this problem, because if we tried to limit the flow of Ukrainian products to the EU, we would be violating community rules. Consequently, Brussels must find conditions that also protect the Member States from the situation we find ourselves in today. This problem should be solved at the political level,” said the Presidentusamm.
