First soy-based fire extinguishing agent tested by firefighters

farmers in the USA have thoroughly prepared for the onset of the fire threat. They have launched the world's first soy-based fire extinguishing agent. This is what Scoop magazine reports.

The novelty was developed by the company Cross Plains Solutions. It has already been tested by firefighters. The soy-based firefighting foam came to market thanks to research funded by American farmers who grow the plant.

“Soy foam is a safer product than anything currently on the market. We just received Green Screen Gold certification. Soy foam is chemical-free. There have been several cases where firefighters died or developed cancer because the foams they used contained harmful chemicals,” said Alan Snipes, the company’s managing partner.

Soy foam, which is 84 percent biomade of logical material, is harmless to the environment and human health, safe to use and quickly degradable. Although the product is environmentally friendly, its price is competitive with that of traditional firefighting foams.

The new product consists of 50 percent soybean meal or flour. This is beneficial because most of the soybean oil is in the USA For the production of Biofuel is used, leaving plenty of soy meal left over that can be used for production.

Extensive trials of soy foam have been funded by soybean farmers.
