Buckwheat

The Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine has slightly increased the forecast for the buckwheat harvest in 2022

The gross collection of Buckwheat in Ukraine in 2022, thanks to higher grain yields, can reach 150 thousand tons. Taras Vysotsky, the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine said this during a press conference.

According to him, to reporting date of buckwheat about 35 thousand tons are milked. Only 40 to XNUMX% of the sown areas are threshed.

This suggests that this year we can count on about 140 thousand tons or even 150 thousand tons of buckwheat production, since the yield of the crop has increased now. Domestic consumption is 100-110 thousand tons, unfortunately considering the emigration and decline in consumers.
