The drought in Argentina will have a major impact on agricultural production

This is a proactive report from the Rosario Grains Exchange stating that the 2022/2023 season will be characterized by a complex scenario in which the production of basic grains will decrease significantly compared to the forecasts made at the start of the season in September last year, reports Megsorges.

This complexity is the result of climatic factors, increasing production costs and regulations that e.gusammen "change the decisions of manufacturers," says the report.

In addition, the report adds that the productive phase of winter crops is over and given the drought, production levels are well below previous estimates and the five-year average.

The drought in Argentina is also affecting spring crops, so the scenario for the coming months for Soybean, Corn and Sunflowers is still uncertain, they added.

The Rosario Grain Exchange also noted that while some rainfall has fallen in agricultural areas in recent weeks, it has not been significantly below the average of recent years.

So Rosario found that the Gersten- and wheat production has fallen by 1,2 million tons or 5,1 million tons since September last year and amounted to 3,8 million tons or 12,4 million tons.
