Export prices for Ukrainian Sunflower oil, which hit the level of 670-680 USD/ton on delivery to port the previous day, has entered a small growth phase and is now trading at 700 USD/ton and above. The increase in quotations is due to the appreciation of palm and Soybean oil in the stock market for the past five sessions.
“This will increase demand for cheap Ukrainian oil”, – reports GrainTrade electronic grain exchange on its website.
It is noted that the increase in world market prices has also led to an increase in sunflower prices in Ukraine: the cost of Oilseeds the domestic market is now at 14.000-14.500 hryvnia per ton, which is 500-700 hryvnia per ton higher than last week's level.
"Furthermore, sunflower prices have been supported by an increase in demand prices for shipments to the EU by USD 20-30/tonne as well as a slight increase in shipping traffic in the grain corridor in the last week," the documents read.
According to Spike Brokers analysts, ask prices are now:
for sunflowers
- 370-400 euros/ton DAP Italy (Central);
- 340-350 USD/ton FOB Ukraine (Danube).
for sunflower oil
- 740-760 euros/ton DAP Italian;
- 730-740 USD/ton FOB Ukraine (Danube);
- 765-775 USD/tonne CIF Romania (Port).
