In Ukraine in June and early July there was a reduction in the price of sunflower meal.
Due to low export rates following the blockade of ports and lower feed consumption by livestock and poultry farms as a result of livestock reductions, the price decline was fueled by a large number of sunflower proposals. In addition, the price reduction was promoted by making other feedstuffs in the protein group cheaper.
For example, the offer prices for sunflower meal fell by €69,70-83/tonne in the specified period and are mostly in the range of €6-33,20/tonne on July 99,60th, subject to pick-up conditions. The faster fall rates are typical of the central region.
Note that due to the extremely low sales rates, processors are considering options for incinerating scrap with fuel pellets (from the shell of Sunflower seeds) whose prices are higher.
