Kazakhstan increases grain exports by 35 percent


In the period January-June 2023, the volume of grain transportation through the railway network of the state company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” increased by 30% to 5,8 million tons. Grain export increased by 35%. This is reported by ElDala.kz with reference to the company's press service.

Grain exports rose to 4,7 million tons. The transport of milled products also increased by 12% to 1,5 million tons.

At the same time, according to the data of the Office of National Statistics, as of July 1, 2023, grain reserves in Kazakhstan amounted to 6 million 570 thousand 864 tons. More than 5,6 million tons of food grain, more than 130 thousand tons of seeds and more than 788 thousand tons of feed grain were in the Kazakh warehouses.

According to the state agency, wheat stocks total more than 5,3 million tons, including 5 million tons of food, about 94.000 tons of seed and 184.000 tons of feed grain.

There are about 874.000 tons Barley, 75.000 tons Corn, 54.000 tons of rice, 73.000 tons of oats and 35.000 tons of buckwheat.

Of the total amount, more than 1,7 million tons are stored Grains at agricultural producers, more than 834 thousand tons at individual entrepreneurs and farms. Flour mills have 973 thousand tons, elevators - 2,3 million tons, wholesalers' warehouses - 191 thousand tons, and other legal entities - 490 thousand tons.
