Kazakhstan harvested 22,8 million tons of grain


The Minister of Agriculture reported on the results of the development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan in 2022 at the government session.

Last year, the gross cultivation volume increased by 9,1% and amounted to 9,3 trillion tenge, according to Erbol Karashukeev. This happened due to a 15% increase in the production of crop production.

The favorable weather conditions have allowed the harvest to be carried out without downtime and one of the best grain harvests of the last 10 years, which has reached 22,8 million tons.

Food production in 2022 also recorded growth momentum of 3,9% in cash equivalent volumes of 2,9 trillion tenge. More began to produce vegetable oil, sugar, grains, flour, sausage and pasta.

“In 2022, 267 new investment projects worth 241,3 billion tenge were put into operation. The plan is fully accomplished. As a result, during the reporting period, the volume of investments in the registered capital of agriculture increased by 6,9% and amounted to 855,7 billion tenge,” said Erbol Karashukeev.
