In the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan exported 2 million tons of wheat


In the first quarter of 2022, Kazakhstan exported 2 million tons Wheat and Meslin for a total of $592,3 million. Growth was 64%, monetary 2,1 times.

As indicated, the bulk of grain shipments during the reporting period came to the CIS countries - 1,3 million tons, which is 43,9% more than a year earlier. The main deliveries were made to Uzbekistan (874,1 thousand tons), Tajikistan (175,8 thousand tons) and Turkmenistan (149,5 thousand tons).

744,7 thousand tons of Kazakh wheat were sent to non-CIS countries — 2,2 times more than a year earlier. Among them, the leader in terms of procurement volumes was Iran – 358,4 thousand tons (annual growth — 3,9 times). The TOP 3 countries also included Afghanistan (227,4 thousand tons) and Italy (110,1 thousand tons).

In March 2022, export prices for wheat increased monthly by 9,2%, year-to-date by 12,1%, year-on-year by 32,1%, including monthly dynamics, prices for the CIS countries increased by 7,9%, for the other countries by 11,8%. In the annual dynamics, prices for the CIS countries rose by 34,7%, for the rest by 23,7%.
