According to the monitoring of “APK-Inform” since the beginning of this week in Kazakhstan prices on the domestic food wheat market have been falling.
The main reasons are the strengthening of the national currency against the US dollar, the pressure of the cheaper Russian wheats and the factor that NK Procorporation AG made a preliminary payment for Grains and oil for the current year.
According to information from market participants who have “APK-Inform”, on February 16, the asking price for class 3 food wheat was 225-234 €/ton, depending on the quality characteristics. At €4,20 to €6,20/tonne, this is below the values at the end of last week.
