In Kazakhstan, agricultural production increased by 2022% to 9,1 trillion tenge in 9,3


From January to December 2022, food worth 2,9 trillion tenge was produced in Kazakhstan. This is 3,9 percent higher than in the previous year, said the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erbol Karaschukiev, during a government meeting.

According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, the growth of vegetable oil production increased by 49,5% (from 431 thousand tons to 644,3 thousand tons), sugar by 34,4% (from 255,9 thousand tons to 343,9 thousand tons ), Grains by 11,5% (from 83,8 thousand tons to 93,4 thousand tons), flour by 10,2% (from 3,011 million tons to 3,31 million tons), sausages by 5% (from 62,6 thousand tons to 65,8 thousand tons), pasta by 3,8% (from 160 million tons), flour by 10,2% (from 3,011 million tons to 3,31 million tons), sausages by 5% (from 62,6 thousand tons tons to 65,8 thousand tons), Rice by 3,1% (from 217,2 thousand tons to 223,9 thousand tons).

In the 12 months of 2022, the volume of gross agricultural production increased by 9,1% to 9,3 trillion tenge, according to the ministry.

“This growth is mainly provided by a 15% (5,6 trillion tenge) increase in the production of plant products,” explained Karashukeev.

With an average yield of 14,2 hundredweight/hectare, 22,8 million tons of grain were milled to original weight (in 2021 this value was 16,4 million tons), one of the highest harvests in the last 10 years, according to the region's Akimats. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes, more than 80% of the grain collected is of high quality.

Livestock gross production rose 0,9% last year to 3,6 trillion tenge.

At the same time, there was an increase in live weight meat production by 0,4% (2,171 million tons), cow's milk by 2% (6320 thousand tons) and chicken eggs by 4,4% (5027 million pieces).

According to the regions' approved Akimats, 267 projects worth a total of 241,3 billion tenge were put into operation last year to implement the agriculture investment projects for the years 2022-2026. This means that the plan for 2022 has been fulfilled in terms of the number of projects.

"As a result, the volume of investments in the share capital of agriculture increased by 6,9% during the reporting period and amounted to 855,7 billion tenge (in 12 months of 2021 — 773,2 billion tenge)," the minister stressed.
