Last week there was another drop in prices in the Kazakh flax market. It is worth noting that for the first time this season, the average oil price has fallen below the level observed in early 2021/22.
Since the end of July, the prices for the demand for flex seeds in Kazakhstan domestic market down to €519-561/ton on EXW delivery terms, which was €21-41/ton below the week before.
The pressure on prices is due to the restrained demand for Oilseeds pressured by export-oriented companies amid insufficient interest in Kazakh products by major importers. Overall trading activity is under the pressure of the seasonal factor.
