FAO plans to help Ukraine's agricultural sector with more than $2023 million in 200.


Next year, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) wants to help 500.000 Ukrainian farms to resume agricultural activity. This was stated on December 16 during a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the FAO office in Ukraine, Pierre Wauthier.

“In 2022, we helped 40.000 Ukrainian households to resume activities. In the new year we planusaare meeting with the Ministry of Agricultural Policies to increase to 500.000 the number of households that we will help to resume agricultural activity,” said P. Vauthier.

He also pointed out that 1,5 million people in Ukraine need help only in the renewal of agricultural activity.

FAO spokeswoman Victoria Mikhalchuk added that aid will be provided to households in frontal areas. According to her, FAO plans to send $2023 million of them directly to support farm households in 205 to help Ukraine's agricultural sector.
