FranceAgriMer experts have raised the forecast for wheat exports from France for 2022/23


Analysts at FranceAgriMer have raised the forecast for wheat exports from France outside the European Union to 10,1 million tons in their report, compared to 10 million tons according to the preliminary forecast, Reuters reports.

So, the annual increase in this indicator can be 15%, but experts note that exports of French Wheat will depend on whether the work of the «Corridor» from Ukraine will continue.

In turn, the experts have lowered the forecast for wheat exports within the bloc countries from 7,13 to 7,07 million tons, which is also 2021% worse in 22/12.

In addition, the forecast for post-season wheat stocks in France was lowered to 2,13 million tonnes, down from 2,36 million tonnes, mainly due to a reduction in the grain harvest.

The forecast for the French corn stock Experts have also lowered 2022/23 – to 2,01 million tonnes compared to 2,23 million tonnes in 2021/22, given that the grain production could decrease by 30% per year in the new season.

At the same time, the estimate of barley stocks in the country in the new season increased – to 1,77 million tons against 1,66 million tons according to the preliminary forecast.
