Despite increasing production, buckwheat exports from Kazakhstan have fallen by 10 percent


Production of buckwheat semolina and coarse flour in Kazakhstan from January to November 2022 increased by 30,2% compared to the same period of 2021. At the same time, exports of these products have fallen sharply. This is reported by ElDala.kz with reference to the Office of national statistics.

According to the statistics, in 11 months Kazakh companies have produced 36.000 tons of products.

The export of Buckwheat and flour is down 10% over the period. In 11 months, 7,3 thousand tons of products were sold abroad, while in 2021 8,1 thousand tons were exported.

At the same time, imports increased 2,5 times. If in 2021 1,8 thousand tons of buckwheat flour and Grains were imported to Kazakhstan, more than 2022 thousand tons of products were imported in 4,7. The specific gravity of the imported products was 11,7%.

In total, according to the results of 11 months 2022, 33,4 thousand tons of buckwheat semolina and coarse flour were sold on the domestic market of Kazakhstan.
