China expects corn harvest to decline


According to forecasts by USDA experts in Beijing, China can produce 2022 million tons in 23/270 Corn harvest, which is in line with the official USDA forecast by 4 million tons and 2,5 million tons from the previous season's result, reports Reuters.

As mentioned earlier, reducing the grain production due to a decrease in acreage and low yield due to excessive rainfall in north-eastern China.

For the 2022/23 season, the experts expect an increase of 18 million tons compared to 23 million tons in 2021/22, which is also due to an expected decrease in maize consumption in feed requirements (by 1%).
