According to the results of the past calendar year, more than 174.000 tons of Kazakh linseed were imported to the Chinese market. Compared to 2021 levels, imports of this culture from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the People's Republic of China have almost tripled.
Looking at monthly shipments, December 2022 saw the largest volume flax shipped to China – 28,08 thousand tons (vs. 10 thousand tons in December 2021).
The Middle Kingdom thus surpassed the leading importer of Kazakh flax in 2021, Belgium. Nevertheless, the demand for this culture in the European state has increased in the past year: In particular, the purchases of Oilseeds from the Republic of Kazakhstan increased from 107,8 thousand tons (2021) to 164,37 thousand tons.
