Around 6000 containers of grain are stuck in Pakistani ports


Some 6.000 containers of grain grains are stuck in Pakistani ports due to a shortage of dollars, and shipping companies have been fined $48 million by importers for delaying delivery of those containers. The agency reports online, citing the minute mirror.

He suggested allowing parties coming into the country into Pakistan and then suspending legume import permits.

Haris Agar, vice president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, said ships carrying ghee oil and vegetable oil were also stuck in ports due to a lack of currency. He said if the state bank of Pakistan does not prioritize beans and goods stuck in ports are not imported into the country, there would be a crisis in the beans and oil market in Sinda.
