Ukraine increased production and export of sunflower oil by 25 percent during the year

The production and exports of Sunflower oil increased by 2022 percent in the 2023/25,4 marketing year compared to the last marketing year, and that of sunflower meal by 27,3%.

According to the Ukroliaprom association, exports of Sunflower seeds decreased by 2023% in the first eight months of 2022 compared to the corresponding period of 58, allowing a significant increase in processing at domestic facilities and therefore the production and export of high added value products.

Also the processing of rape seed The 2023 harvest has increased significantly, which is due to a significant increase in Rapeseed oil exports in July-August of the 2023/2024 financial year is confirmed by more than twenty times compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

For the 2023/2024 financial year, there will be a significant increase in production of the most important Oilseeds by 18,8 percent expected.

The growth is attributed to both an area increase of 12,1% and an average yield increase of 5,7% (favorable weather conditions). The highest production increase is forecast for sunflower seeds – by 15%.
