Analysts from the consulting agency Sunseedman predict that the production of Sunflowers in Turkey in 2022/23 is 2 million tons, which will exceed the result of the previous season by 400 thousand tons.
The import of Oilseeds is expected to reach 750 thousand tons compared to 475 thousand tons in 2021/22.
It is worth noting that against the background of high production and increased imports of sunflower seeds in Turkey in 2022/23, experts forecast a decrease in Turkey's imports of sunflower oil - up to 805 thousand tons compared to 1 million tons in the previous season . At the same time, exports of the product from the country in the current season can increase by 34% per year - up to 650 thousand tons.
