Kazakh new crop wheat is estimated at EUR 375/ton

Sowing of the new season is in full swing, and experts are beginning to make predictions about what the price of wheat will be in the fall. Both subjective factors (problems with sowing in Ukraine, restrictions on deliveries from Russia) and objective factors are taken into account - a two-fold increase in the prices of fertilizers and herbicides, a violation of logistic chains.

Kazakh farmers estimate their direct investment per hectare at around 175 euros in the new season, up from 110 euros in the past. The final selling price depends on Wheat depending on the harvest volume. If last year's drought is repeated and 1 hectare is preserved with 5 to 6 hundredweight, the break-even point is 350 euros/ton. For the minimum profitability, the crop must be sold at 375 euros/ton.

Of course, this is only a preliminary forecast and largely negative. If the drought does not occur, a fair wheat price of 175 euros/ton will be due with the costs of the Kazakh farmers per hectare of 13 euros and the harvest at least at the medium level (265 z/ha).
