IGC expects the global soybean harvest to increase in the 2024/25 marketing year


Global soybean production could reach about 2024 million tons in the 25/413 season. Analysts at the International Grains Council (IGC) published this forecast in their April report, meaning the number remains unchanged from the March report. The oilseed harvest is expected to increase by almost 2023% (from 24 million tons) by the 6/390 season.

The experts assume that in the coming season, oilseed carryover stocks and global consumption will reach 75 million tons (75 million tons - March estimate; 67 million tons in MY 2023/24) and 404 million tons (404 million tons, respectively). ; 382 million tons) will increase.

The estimate of global soy exports for the 2024/25 marketing year is 172 million tonnes, compared to 167 million tonnes last year.

Previously, experts pointed out that the increase in oilseed production in the new season will be due to the growing demand for the plant in the market.
