Export duties on wheat and barley in Russia will be reduced


According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of September 20, tariffs for wheat exports from Russia will be 4.527,5 rubles per ton, for barley exports 791,2 rubles per ton and for Corn 3.201,6 rubles per ton.

The export duty rate for Wheat and menseed (a mixture of wheat and rye) is priced at a target price of $243,3 per ton, for Barley at USD 176,3 per ton and for corn at USD 212 per ton.

The duty on wheat exports from Russia is now 4.528,7 rubles per ton, on barley exports it is 789,5 rubles per ton and on corn it is 2.616,4 rubles per ton.

The new tariffs are valid until September 26th.

It is worth remembering that the base price for calculating the export duty on wheat has been revised and is now 17 thousand rubles per ton, while barley and corn are 15,875 rubles per ton.

Russia applies a flexible export tariff on wheat, corn and barley, which works within the framework of the grain dampening mechanism. For the calculation of duties, which have been converted into ruble values ​​​​since July 2022, data on the price of export contracts registered on the exchange and the average dollar-ruble rate set by the Bank of Russia five working days before the calculation date are used.

The funds collected at the expense of tariffs flow in the form of subsidies to wheat producers, Rye, corn and feed barley are returned to the subjects of the Russian Federation and are distributed depending on the quantity of products produced.
