Erdogan names two Russian demands for the resumption of grain trade

Turkish President Recep Erdogan has said he hopes for a "good result" in relaunching the Black Sea Grains Initiative in the near future. Anadolu writes about this.

Erdogan said that Ankara is in close contact with the UN to restore the "grain deal", adding that he will soon discuss the issue with the organization's secretary-general, António Guterres.

“Restoring this initiative is a priority for the whole world. We are in close contact with the UN on this issue,” said the Turkish President.

Erdogan said Russia has two demands for restoring the 'grain deal'.

“First, the inclusion of the Russian Agricultural Bank in the SWIFT system… Second, the vessels used for transportation must be insured. The ships must be insured if they are to transport goods to European or other ports,” he added.
