EU countries have no complaints about the quality of agricultural products exported from Ukraine

Ukraine receives almost no complaints about the quality of domestic agricultural products exported to Europe - complaints from European countries amount to a maximum of 0,1 percent of export volumes. This was stated by the head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Sergiy Tkachuk, during the Zusasummary of the results of the agency's work for 2023, reports Ukrinform.

“We receive very few reports about the poor quality of agricultural products exported to Europe: no more than 2-3 per month. Since Ukraine is a member of the European Rapid Alert System for Food (RASFF), we have the opportunity to respond quickly to such reports. But we don’t actually receive any reports of phytosanitary practices,” Tkachuk said.

According to him, there are reports mainly when Ukrainian citizens make private transfers of plant protection control objects, such as: B. plant seeds, to another country.

“Such quality violations on the part of individual citizens are registered, but in 2023 Ukraine did not receive any official complaints from European consumers about the supplied domestic producers of agricultural products,” – said the head of the department.
