Brazil, USA and Argentina export 46,9 million tons of soybean meal in 2022/23


Around 5,03 million tons Soy meal were reported last month by the top three supplying countries (USA, Brazil, Argentina) sold on the world market, according to the data of the specialists of the Hamburg analysis agency OilWorld (Germany). According to their estimates, the current number will exceed the June result (5,02 million tons), but will give way to the July 2022 final value (5,28 million tons).

According to the experts, Brazil shipped the most soybean meal in the reporting period with 2,2 million tons (2 million tons in June; 1,95 million tons in July 2022). It is followed by Argentina with 1,73 million tonnes (1,76 million tonnes; 2,5 million tonnes). The conclusion of the top three form the USA at 1,1 million tonnes (1,26 million tonnes; 0,83 million tonnes).

“Since the start of the season, the USA 11,44 million tons (+0,81 million tons compared to the previous year) soybean meal shipped, Brazil 17,38 million tons (+0,81 million tons) and Argentina 18,08 million tons (-5,04 million tons)”, so the report.

The main destinations in the 2022/23 marketing year were the EU, which imported 13,56 million tons of the product, and regions in Asia, notably Indonesia with 4,39 million tons, Vietnam with 3,79 million tons, Thailand with 2,61 million tons tons and the Philippines with 2,41 million tons.
