Australia increases wheat exports by 5 percent in July


Australia exported 2,68 million tonnes in July this year Wheat, 5 percent more than in June this year (2,55 million tons) and 4 percent more than in July 2022 (2,58 million tons), reports Grain Central.

The largest amounts of Australian Grains in containers were shipped to the People's Republic of China (25.700 tons), Taiwan (20.100 tons) and Thailand (17.100 tons). Grain in bulk in July was shipped mainly to Indonesia (625,9 thousand tons), the People's Republic of China (602,6 thousand tons) and the Philippines (446,3 thousand tons).

According to Lachstock Consulting's latest estimates, Australia exported 1 million tonnes between October 2022, 2023 and July 25,45, up from 20,73 million tonnes in the same period the previous season. At the same time, the country's wheat exports could reach a record 31,4 million tons at the end of the entire season, significantly exceeding the previous record (27,6 million tons).

According to analysts at Lachstock Consulting, Australia's wheat harvest in the new season could reach about 26 million tons. It should be recalled that in their September report, ABARES experts lowered their grain production forecast to 25,4 million tons.
