Attacks on ships in the Red Sea are unlikely to endanger French grain exports for the time being

The Hussite attacks on ships in the Red Sea are unlikely to affect French grain exports to Asian countries, as these strikes are now mainly aimed at ships bound for Israel. This was said by Marc Zribi, head of FranceAgriMer's grain department, as reported by Reuters.

He said French Grains is currently being transported to Asian countries via the Suez Canal and the Red Sea, but via a different route where the risk of missile attacks is lower.

“If the Bfrom el-Mandfrom Strait and part of the Red Sea become a real open conflict zone in the coming weeks, this will certainly have a significant impact. However, this is not the case at this point, so exports from Europe to Asia should not be significantly affected,” believes Zribi.
