FranceAgriMer analysts have cut their forecast for French common wheat exports outside the European Union to 2023 million tonnes in the 24/10,1 marketing year, from 10,2 million tonnes last month, also down 0,5% below the level of the previous season.
The forecast for soft wheat exports from France to other EU countries has also been reduced from 6,69 million tonnes to 6,55 million tonnes, but is 2,5% above the level for the 2022/23 marketing year.
French common wheat stocks at the end of the 2023/24 marketing year are estimated at 3,44 million tonnes (3,22 million tonnes were forecast in December), 34,7% more than last year.
