Algeria purchased durum wheat of Mexican origin through a tender


According to market participants, the Algerian state food procurement agency OAIC as part of an international tender Durum wheat bought of Mexican origin.

As already mentioned, this was Grains purchased in lots of Panamax at $395 per ton C&F and Handymax at $405 per ton C&F. According to the tender conditions, delivery was scheduled to take place in June this year.

At the same time, the exact purchase volume is not yet known. According to the terms of the tender, the importer intends to conclude a contract for 50 thousand tons of grain. It should be noted that the importer was looking for 50 thousand tons.

It should be recalled that in the first tender, Algeria purchased 100-200 thousand tons of durum wheat at a price of $390 and $395 per ton C&F with delivery in April.
