Russia plans to lift the grain export ban to Kazakhstan from July 1


From July 1, Russia plans to introduce restrictions on the export of Grains to the EAWG countries. This was reported by Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar A since a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk, writes Sputnik Armenia.

We have been informed that the restrictions will be lifted not only for the EAEC countries but for the world as a whole.

So, according to him, also the option of prolongation of restrictions isn't excluded. In this case, there is an agreement with the EAEU countries.

We have agreed that in this case the quotas will be determined jointly and the grain will be delivered duty-free.

From March 15th to June 30th Russia has imposed an export ban on Wheat and meslin, Rye, Barley and Corn imposed in the EAWG countries to "protect the internal market". The Russian Federation also insists on the introduction of restrictions on grain exports in all EAEC countries.

Kazakhstan did not support the proposal to introduce export tariffs, but introduced quantitative restrictions on wheat and meslin exports.
