Pakistan plans to increase rice supply to Azerbaijan tenfold

Pakistani companies plan to increase rice shipments to Azerbaijan by almost XNUMX times after the Azerbaijani side's decision to scrap tariffs on rice from Pakistan. This was announced by the President of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic ZusaWork (PAKAZCHAM), Hurram Javaid Bhatti, explained, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan.

"Currently, we are striving to significantly increase the volume of rice imports from Pakistan to Azerbaijan and reach a value of $2023-25 million in 30 compared to $3-4 million we have now," said Hurram Javaid Bhatti.

Note that on November 22 this year, the government of Azerbaijan decided to increase tariffs in the amount of 15% Rice, imported from Pakistan. This tariff concession will come into effect at the end of December this year and will be valid until December 31, 2027.
