Moldova becomes the ZusaExpand cooperation with Italy in the agricultural and food sector

Moldovan Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Balya met his Italian counterpart Francesco Lollobrigida in Rome on December 7th.

The officials discussed trade and economic relations between Moldova and Italy, which have developed over the 30 years since diplomatic relations were established.

At the same time, they exchanged views on the priorities that should dominate friendly relations between Moldova and Italy. Likewise, they explored ways that bilateral Zusato promote community work through the prism of new commercial initiatives in the agricultural segment. In this sense, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Rome will be a focal point for organizing further thematic missions of businessmen. The officials also discussed cooperation models of farmers and in this sense examined the competitive advantages.

Other topics included increasing exports of agricultural products to the Italian market, creating Moldovan-Italian partnerships for production and processing, sharing experiences in the production and marketing of grape plants, sharing best practices in terms of machine management, Refrigeration equipment and modern systems for the production of Moldovan wine, sustainable development of the agricultural sector through digital technologies, generation of renewable electricity, application of alternative methods in the processing and post-harvest industries.
