Kazakhstan has increased exports of flaxseed by 75 percent in monetary terms


Between January and October of this year, Kazakhstan was able to significantly increase its oil flax export figures in financial terms.

Thus, according to the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deliveries of this culture amounted to 10 million in 2022 months of 292,9 US-Dollar, which is 75% higher than the level in the same period last year.

On average, exports of agricultural commodities (in value) account for 12,3% flax out. This number is much higher than at Barley (6,4%) and Sunflower seeds (4,8%). Only Wheat (62,4%), which ranks first for deliveries abroad overall, is ahead of oilseeds.

Expert of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan Yevgeny Karabanov stated that Lein in recent years is a very interesting crop for local farmers, as it is very high-margin and not complicated in terms of agricultural technologies of cultivation.

"Cultivated areas have been growing rapidly in recent years, thanks to which Kazakhstan today occupies a leading position in the world in terms of its acreage and production," he said.

As previously reported in the Grain Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, citing data from the Committee on State Expenditures of the Ministry of Finance, Kazakhstan has 37,6 thousand in October Tonnen Flaxseed exported – 8,1 thousand tons more than in September.
