In five months of this year, Azerbaijan has reduced wheat exports by almost 10 percent

According to the results of the first five months of this year, Azerbaijan imported 355,53 thousand Tonnen Wheat, which is 9,7% less than in the same period last year. The Interfax-Azerbaijan agency reported on July, citing data from the State Customs Committee.

Thus, the volume of grain purchases in the specified period increased by 23,8% to $124,5 million in financial terms.

As indicated, the import volume was from Grains in May 47,58 thousand tons for $18,78 million. So Azerbaijan bought one in the specified month Tonne Wheat for $394,66. Overall, the average price of purchased wheat in January-May was $348,8 per ton.

It is also reported that purchases of vegetable oil in the first five months of 2022 increased by 12,1% year-on-year in quantitative terms (almost 59,21 thousand tons), in monetary terms by 34,3% to 94,15 million US-Dollar.

Export of vegetable oil from Azerbaijan in January-May is estimated at 4,75 thousand tons (down 32,6%) worth $8,99 million (down 3,2%).
