In France, less than 20 percent of the planned areas are sown with winter wheat

At the end of October, in France, 84% of the areas covered by the plan were covered winter wheat seeded (+11% per week), while this figure was 77% last year.

The sowing of durum wheat in the country has already been produced on 34% of the planned areas (+27% per week), which significantly exceeds the result of the previous year (23%).

Also the sowing of Winter barley is practically complete - 93% of the planned area has been sown (+13% per week; 89% a year earlier).

In addition, the experts point to the completion of the corn harvest in France: 99% (3% per week) was ground at the end of October, compared to 70% the year before.
