The corn harvest is coming to an end in Argentina


On August 10, the Corn in Argentina to 6,32 million Hektar harvested, which represents 90% of the planned area, as shown by the results of monitoring by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.

Current crop rates are worse than last year (95% of plots removed from plan at report date) and average results over the last 5 years (93%).

It is noted that currently 44,24 million Tonnen Corn from the expected 49 million tons will be harvested.

As indicated by the analysts, the grain yield shows a high degree of heterogeneity, but generally corresponds to the initial expectations, averaging 7 tons/hectare.
