Customs duty on export of sunflower oil from the Russian Federation will remain zero in January

Export duties for sunflower oil from the Russian Federation in January remain zero, as in the previous three months. At the same time, the fee for sunflower meal will immediately increase by almost 23 times to 1826,9 rubles from 79,8 rubles per ton in December, Interfax said.

The indicative prices on which the fees are calculated were: $1.207 per ton ($6 per ton a month ago), $1.178,1 per ton ($246,2).

Recall that from July 2022, duties will be calculated in rubles, and not in US dollars as before. Within the framework of the customs transfer in rubles, the base price for calculating export duties on sunflower oil is 82500 rubles per ton (instead of the previously considered $1.000), for scrap it is 13875 rubles (instead of $185) per ton.

The fee for sunflower oil is 70% of the difference between the base price (82.500 rubles per ton) and the indicative price (the arithmetic average of market prices per month). The export fee for sunflower meal is calculated using the formula as the difference between the indicative price (the arithmetic average of market prices per month) and the base price (13.875 rubles per ton) multiplied by the correction factor (0,7).
