According to operational data, the export of sunflower scrap from Ukraine reached its peak since the start of the war in October 2022/23 and amounted to 390.000 Tonnen (+10% compared to the previous month).
The increase in exports came at the expense of China – 224.000 tons were shipped in this direction, which was the maximum since March this year.
It should be noted that the increased demand from Chinese importers contributed to an increase in the price of Ukrainian scrap in the given month.
Note that due to the slowdown in trade in deep-sea ports since the end of October this year, exports to China are expected to slow in November due to uncertainty about the further work of the Grains Agreement.
