Ukraine in 2022/23 will be the TOP-10 world producers of Grains, but their share in total production can be reduced by 4% to 2%, which is primarily due to the reduction of the cultivated area for Grains due to the impossibility of conducting a full-fledged sowing campaign in the areas where active fighting is taking place.
As it is noted, Ukraine plays an important role both in world production of Wheat, Corn and Barley as well as in their export. The country's share of the global wheat harvest in 2021/22 was 4%, Barley at 7% and Corn at 3% (USDA-Data).
According to analyst forecasts, the grain harvest in 2022/23 will reach 48,3 million Tonnen forecast, which is 44% worse than the current season. The gross wheat fee for the 2021/22 season is expected to increase by 47% (to 17,1 million t), barley by 47% (to 5 million t) and corn by 40% (to 25,2 million t ) is reduced.
At the same time, wheat exports are estimated at 12,3 million tons (-35% on forecast for 2021/22), barley at 1,2 million tons (-79%) and corn at 25,7 million tons (+22%) due of the high transitional remainders for the end of 2021/22 without meeting the conditions for the full realization of its export potential.
