The average wheat prices were down 5% in December compared to the same period last year, while prices for Corn by 9% and for Rice up 12%, according to the World Bank's updated food security report.
Prices for Corn and Wheat are 28 and 18% higher than in January 2021, respectively, and rice prices are 11% lower.
On December 15, agricultural and export price indices increased by 1% and 6% respectively compared to the last update prepared on December 1st. The grain price index closed at the same level.
