The barley harvest in Kyrgyzstan is 2 times higher than last year

The barley harvest in Kyrgyzstan in 2022 amounted to 572 thousand Tonnen (in initial weight). This is almost 2 times the previous year's value, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan reported, citing preliminary data.

The average yield Barley has increased significantly – from 13,3 quintals/Hektar in 2021 to 24,4 hundredweight/hectare in 2022.

The harvest area of ​​the Barley in Kyrgyzstan has also increased slightly this year - by 6,5% to 243 thousand hectares.

In 2021, due to the drought, the barley harvest in the republic fell to 274 thousand tons (vs. 510 thousand tons a year earlier). The harvested area of ​​\u219,8b\uXNUMXbthis culture was XNUMX thousand hectares.

The total amount of gross grain crop in Kyrgyzstan in 2021 was barley 20,6%.
