The prospects for wheat production in France have improved slightly

Analysts of the consulting company Agritel have confirmed the forecast of the harvest of Soft wheat in France slightly increased in 2022/23 – from 33,25 million tons, a week earlier expected, to 33,44 million tons, Reuters reports.

The updated figure is thus still below the value of the previous season (35,43 million tons). As experts explain, harvest shortening is caused by a reduction in grain harvest compared to the previous year's level.

Recall that according to the latest forecast by the French Ministry of Agriculture, the harvest of soft wheat in the country in 2022/23 will be 32,9 million tons (-7,2% for the year).
